I had the honour of asking Garçon Model some questions about there underwear. Why we should wear them, what makes this brand so different than the rest and which Celebrities are wearing them ??
1. What made you set up your own company?
Aside from Calvin Klein and Armani underwear, we felt that there was no other options for masculine men. We wanted to refresh the classics and allow men to have a new line of classic, yet sexy underwear to choose from.
2. What makes your brand stand out from the rest?
We want to be recognized for our elegance and sense of fashion. Other brand seems to go for the over sexualized aspect of the underwear but we prefer a more classic and masculine approach. We aim to bring a sense of exclusivity and pride to the men wearing our GM undies.
3. Do you know what celebs wear your underwear?
We did sent Garçon Model undies to a few celebrities like Justin Timberlake, ASAP rocky, LL cool J and Tom cruise. We haven’t seen any pictures yet but hopefully soon :)
4. Where can people but your underwear ?
There a few online stores selling our undies as well as brick and mortar stores worldwide. We also sell directly via our website at wwww.garconmodel.com
5. Do you do any competitions that you give out free underwear?
—-
6. How does one become a model for your company?
People can tag themselves on different social media sites using #GarconModel, wearing our undies, and we pick the best one.
7. What are your best sellers??
The trunks and the briefs are very popular. They are very comfy and form fitting. Perfect for the gym or looking good out!

One of my twitter followers told me that I should check out this vintage Website knowing that I love Vintage and has a fashion blog. So I took a look and started talking to Dog & Bone via twitter and agreed to do a article for them on my blog.
There were very kind and answered all my questions (which weren’t many) and even sent me a Gift so I could check out how good there delivery service was and how they packed there goods. As you will come to find out this is no normally vintage shop..
Welcome to the new vintage from decades gone by. At Dog & Bone we stand by quality in everything we do. At the moment you’ll just be finding clothes on our beautiful website but soon, you’ll start seeing other vintage and vintage-inspired goodies. From tea cup candles and handprinted vintage print inspired coasters, bottles. This is just the start.
A little about the clothing. From the moment we source a garment to the moment it arrives at your door. We know sometimes people might feel online shopping lacks the experience of the real world and that’s why we want you to feel less like just a stranger in a world of pictures, prices and faceless retail workers. In fact, we don’t just want you to feel like A customer but we want you to feel like OUR customer - We want you to come back to us time and time again and build up a rapport with us. Maybe we’ll be sending each other Christmas cards or birthday cards.
We’re not the biggest vintage website on the planet (yet) but we believe we hold the perfect values in terms of quality of product, delivery of product and customer service that make us the perfect place to find your new outfit and soon, other vintage/vintage-inspired products. We want you to feel more than a customer, we want you to see us as your friends and we would like to see you in the same way.
We’re not your traditional eBay seller. We are a boutique shop and we believe in our products. The items we sell, we endeavour to be free of imperfections, smartly presented and ready for you to unwrap as if it was a gift. You’ll find all our garments modelled on our store, with measurements all laid out (so have your tape measure at the ready to see if the item is for you). When you receive your item you’ll find it beautifully packaged as we don’t feel it appropriate for us to stop serving you as soon as the item leaves our headquarters. If you were in a boutique shop in the real world you’d be unimpressed if a quality item was simply thrown into a blue bag. This is all part of the experience of shopping we want to deliver to you, our customer.
Q&A
WhatChrisWore: Why did you start the business?
Dog & Bone: I started up Dog & Bone Vintage because I’ve always been passionate about history, design and the relevance of things from days gone people and further what it can offer people. Whether it be clothes, household or other such items, vintage can offer people the chance to have something unique and give them a chance to express their own personality. Vintage is always an ethical choice when there’s so much wastage in the world and we should re-use what we can an to inspire others to do the same. I further wanted to bring the offline vintage experience online to the point it felt like you were shopping offline! We want to create an experience for the customer from door to door, from the the way we present our clothes, from packaging we use and the relationships we build up.
WhatChrisWore: What can you offer the customer?
Dog & Bone: We want to offer an easy, laid back experience. We want to lay everything out clearly on the website with understandable, clear descriptions, clear photos, clear measurements and fair pricing. We want customers to enjoy browsing the clothes, and we want to build up solid relationships. We’re going to be doing some fairs which we’ll keep you up to date with and we’re looking forward to seeing you, sharing stories and experiences and offering you some fantastic clothes. We hope shopping on the website will be just as fun and easy going as the fairs shall be.
We Love Alexa Chung!!
I remember waking up in bed, hungover and not being able to move. Apart from turning on the tv and getting my Marlboro lights.
What I saw on tv was channel 4’s PopWorld. We’re Alexa Chung was co-host.
Even then she had style and managed to look like no one else on tv at the time.
It wasn’t until Alexa began to work with more fashion style programmes,When the rest of the world began to notice her too.
Alexa worked on channel 4’s ‘Gok Fashion Fix’ were she interviewed fashion designers such as:
Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavlli, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Christian Lacroix.
Vogues Anna Wintour has described Alexa ‘A Phenomeon’ and Mulberry has even created a bag named ‘Alexa’
If that wasn’t enough reason to love her like I do that I should mention how Alexa Chung has gone on to win 2011 and 2012 British Fashion Awards.
